I think about this wonderful city that I was lucky enough to call home for the past 4 months. I think about all the people that helped me along the way. Whether it was monetary contribution or answering my frantic calls when it was 7 AM EST and noon my time. Whether it was sitting through hour-long the facetimes that I so forcibly bestowed upon people. Whether it was the complaining about my teachers/roommates/classes you got to listen to, or the nearly braggy stories you just HAD to hear me rave about after my adventures. I thank each and every person that lead me to where I am right now.
Not only do I thank the people that helped me get to where I am, but I also am forever thankful for the people that helped me hold it together while in the UK. Thank you to my amazing roommates; KD, Other Kylie, Luaralei, Sara and Lauren. Thank you all for putting up with my bouts of bitchy rudeness just for the hell of it. Thank you for accepting me at my worst such as, when I forced us to make a dishes schedule….but let’s be real we needed that thing and that was definitely for the better!!! Thank you also for teaching me patience, acceptance and understanding. Believe it or not, my attitude was far worse in the US, so thanks. Thank you for helping me to understand that sometimes people are different from you, but it doesn’t have to be magnified, it can just be.
Thanks to the city of London for being able to handle me ripping and running around the city into the wee hours of the morning on the weekends. Extra special thanks goes out to UK customs for always letting ya girl back in even if she was struggling in one way or another, LMAO. There are so many thank you’s I wish to put forth into the universe right now. To my unsung heroes in my program; you know who you all are; and you all deserve the entire world and so much more. London has awakened a sleeping giant within me. The giant of wanderlust is in full effect and does not want to be laid to rest again, but I will tell my wanderlust to simmer down for just a few moments, mainly cause ya girl is so broke!
Anyway, Cheers to you London!
