Gili Trawangan is an incredible island in Indonesia that is easy to get to by boat from Bali or by boat from an island called Lombok. I’ve compiled a simple Gili Trawangan travel guide, including suggestions for restaurants, nightlife, and sunset spots.

My Favorite Gili Trawangan Restaurants:
Restaurants on Gili T are just okay, in my opinion. The food in Bali lives up to the hype of being incredible, so Gili T definitely fell short, but there were some hidden gems. The best meals to indulge in were breakfast/brunch places and local restaurants. I personally don’t think any of the Western restaurants were that good.
- Jali Kitchen
- Pesona Lounge
- Malibu Beach Club
- Casa Vintage
- Skinny Dip

My Favorite Gili Trawangan Bars:
The nightlife in Gili Trawangan seemed pretty chill to me. I know it’s known as the party island, but that pretty much means if you’re looking for a party, you will surely find it. I have definitely had my fair share of partying around the world, and Gili T was pretty standard if you ask me.
- Rabbit Jump
- Enjoy Life Bar
- Window Bar
- The Exile

My Favorite Gili Trawangan Sunset Spots:
Everywhere on Gili T is a fantastic place for sunset. Nearly every single night, we biked up to the beach, grabbed a cold drink, and enjoyed watching the sunset. It was so accessible and easy to do that it almost felt like a sin if you didn’t indulge in it!
- Exile Bar
- Window Bar

Unique Experiences in Gili Trawangan:
The most memorable and unique experience I was able to have while on vacation in Gili Trawangan was doing a sunset snorkel experience. I had never done that before, but I met a father and son duo who took us out quite a few times on private tours. For our last night, they took us on a sunset snorkel tour where we could swim with sea turtles, enjoy snacks, listen to our speaker, have a few drinks, and watch the sunset from the sea.
